Airtena HUB

The AIRTENA consists
of two units:
» Air-to-water heat pump

» Heat pump hub for installation
inside the building

The HANSA AIRTENA Heat Pump HUB makes your heating system ready for a heat pump.
The HANSA heat pump HUB system from the AIRTENA series stands for efficient and sustainable
heating and domestic hot water preparation in single-family and two-family homes.
The heat pump HUB system meets the requirements for both new and old buildings and is suitable for
operating radiators as well as underfloor heating systems.
The heat pump hub (indoor unit) and a monoblock air-to-water heat pump (outdoor unit), developed and patented by HANSA, form the exclusive AIRTENA heat pump hub system.
It is uniquely easy to install and suitable for all applications. The hot water comfort and low space requirements are incomparable and unparalleled
The innovative AIRTENA heat pump hub system is available in three versions:
» AIRTENA M
The mono-energy version is designed for use in new and existing buildings in
energy efficiency classes A+, A, and B.
» AIRTENA H
The hybrid version supplements existing fossil fuel heat generators in existing buildings
in energy efficiency classes C, D, E, and F with a heat pump.
» AIRTENA GH
The gas hybrid variant is a bivalent compact system consisting of a heat pump and
gas condensing boiler module for existing buildings in energy efficiency classes C, D, E, and F.
The outdoor unit, an air-to-water heat pump in monoblock design, is available in three capacity sizes: 6,
8, and 16. All of them use the particularly environmentally friendly and efficient refrigerant R290 .
For quiet operation, the compressor is additionally enclosed in a soundproof housing.
The heat pump hub (indoor unit) forms the heart of the system. It consists of a housing,
a storage tank, two pumps, a changeover valve, a plate heat exchanger, a
instantaneous water heater (Airtena M only), an electric heating element(Airtena M only),
a gas condensing module (Airtena GH only), a control and regulation unit with
sensors, an operating display, connections with ball valves, and electrical connection cables.
The unit is completely pre-installed and only needs to be set up and connected.
With a footprint of 60 cm x 60 cm and a height of 130 cm or 165 cm (Airtena GH), it fits in
any household. No additional space is required for a buffer tank and/or hot water tank!
AIRTENA M: New to the heat pump market is the integrated, two-stage hot water preparation system developed by HANSA based on the instantaneous water heater principle of the Airtena M 8 and M 16. When tapped, the
flowing water is preheated by the heat pump and heated to the desired temperature by the instantaneous water heater. Hot water is available at any time and without interruption!
No hot water tank is required, and there are no heating phases, no space requirements, and no supply losses.
Airtena H: The standard connections for an external heat source are clever.
The Airtena H 8 and H 16 variants are optimized to easily and simply expand a system
with a heat pump and continue to use the existing, functional system installation, e.g., fossil fuel heat generators, solid fuel boilers, and/or solar thermal buffer storage. By adding a heat pump,
up to 80% of the fossil fuel can be replaced. The owner's investment is secure and
sustainable because, on the one hand, the requirements will be met until 2045 and, on the other hand,
the AIRTENA H variant can be very easily converted in 2045 to the mono-energy AIRTENA M variant by optionally installing an electric instantaneous water heater. With the addition of a heat pump,
up to 80% of the fossil fuel can be replaced.
AIRTENA GH: In the AIRTENA GH 8 and GH 16 variants, a TANTUM 25 K gas condensing combi boiler is installed instead of the instantaneous water heater. The GH variant is specially designed for heating system renovation in existing buildings in energy efficiency classes D, E, and F. The AIRTENA GH is particularly recommended if the building requires a fossil fuel heat generator for frost days and continued operation of the existing heat generator is not economically or technically feasible.
